About the Project
Marist School cut the ribbon on its Ivy Street Centre, the first addition of an academic building to its campus in more than 20 years. Ivy Street Centre is the signature project in the first phase of a master plan for the Marist School Campus. The scope of the project involves the Architectural & Structural modelling and drawing extraction from the CAD drawings received.

Key Challenges & Solutions
Challenge 1: Discrepancies in the input provided
The major challenge faced in the project was the discrepancies we found in the input CAD drawings received. Also, there were missing inputs like we were not provided with the doors and window details, there were mismatching in floor plans.
Our team had a thorough check through the drawing inputs and corresponding RFI’s were raised in the initial phase. Live web meeting sessions was the key to solving major coordination issues.

The missing details and drawings inconsistencies were solved due to the implementation of BIM in the project. This reduce the design flaws and the potential spots were identified and rectified before being constructed on‐site.
