What We Do

Coordination Drawings for Construction

In any construction project, the coordination drawings are essential, irrespective of the size of a project. A coordination drawing can be simply defined as a set of drawings from different trades compiled into one composite drawing in order to avoid any potential clashes or constructability issues during installation. For example, Ductwork, mechanical piping, plumbing, equipment, electrical conduits, raceways etc. has to be coordinated before installing on site.

What We Do

Bringing Clarity to Complex Projects with Coordination Drawings

At BIMEX, our shop drawings given for the installers to work on-site are fully completed with interdisciplinary coordination. This brings the advantage of quick installation with faster turnover times by preventing clashes during installation and lesser RFI’s due to fewer problems on site. Good coordination drawings are the only solution for preventing costly construction overruns.

All our coordination drawings are shown with horizontal and vertical dimensions to avoid interface with structural columns, framing, partitions, ceilings, fire protection lines and are thru wall and slab opening what a contractor has to provide. When coordination is not proper, these services can conflict while on site installation causing delay, material wastage and cost. We support M&E contractors by providing accurate coordination drawings, where the issues are resolved prior to the site installation, saving your resources, cost, and time.

We provide elevations and sections at a scale of 1/4” = 1’ (1:50) showing information like:

  • Structural Framing Location with Member Size
  • Ceiling Height and Thickness
  • Structural Column
  • Partitions of Blockworks
  • Other trade installations (Electrical services, piping, gravity lines etc.)

When preparing a coordination drawing, we also take into consideration the maintenance accessibility and clearance requirements according to the building codes as well as the local codes.
